Sweeps
The Solid Fuel Association recommends flues are swept up to twice a year to prevent the accumulation of soot, creosote and debris. To qualify for manufacturer’s warranties relating to flue liners ensure the flue is swept at least once a year and keep the receipts. We use a Rotary Power Sweeping Tool which despite cleaning more effectively is gentler on flues than manual brushes. £61.90 + 5% VAT.
Annual Silver Service & Sweep
Our installers will carry out a range of tests on the stove, inspecting and replacing consumables such as bricks, seals and baffle plates if required. Includes chimney sweep. Most stove and flue manufacturers insist on an annual service and sweep for warranty purposes. Only applies to stoves supplied and installed by The Snug. If the stove was installed by a third party please contact us for more information. £140 + 5% VAT, parts extra.
Gold Service & Sweep
The Gold Service & Sweep includes everything listed for the Silver Service, plus a pressure test to check the integrity of the flue. It is recommended flues are pressure tested every three years. The price shown assumes we can access the chimney stack using ladders and harness. Only applies to stoves supplied and installed by The Snug.
