About us
Fire, folklore and Manx winters…
On the Isle of Man, the fireplace was where families and friends gathered, stories shared and long winters kept at bay…
At The Snug, every stove we install builds on that ancient tradition, bringing you and your loved ones together.
Who we are
The Snug, based right on Ramsey high street, is the Isle of Man’s longest-established wood-burning stove showroom and installation company. Founded back in 2010 by Kim Kneen and Steve Kimmins, it grew from a perfect blend of Kim’s love for art, design and creating beautiful homes, and Steve’s building background and HETAS training. Since then, what started as a leap of faith has turned into a trusted, community-rooted business that’s now installed well over a thousand wood-burning stoves across the Isle of Man.
From the first spark…
From the outset, Kim and Steve’s vision was to combine technical know-how with aesthetics and long-term value. From that spark of imagination evolved a thriving hub of all things cosy, inviting and warm.
Today, as well as a welcoming showroom, The Snug prides itself on establishing long lasting customer relationships and a reputation for supplying and installing beautiful, efficient stoves – a testament to product quality and aftercare.
“We love speaking to customers about stoves we installed over a decade ago – still looking great, still working perfectly. So many customers say it’s the best thing they ever did in their home.” – Kim
Our ethos
As a Snug stove fills your home with warmth, so our ethos resonates throughout everything we do. At The Snug we’ve never thought of what we do as just selling stoves. For us it’s about creating homes that feel warm, secure and welcoming.
- Honesty – If a stove isn’t right for you we’ll tell you.
- After Care – We’ll give you as much help as you need to ensure your stove functions beautifully and efficiently for years to come.
- Design – We care about how things look as well as how they work. A stove should be practical and a thing of joy, comfort and inspiration.
- Community – Based right in the heart of Ramsey, we’re a long established part of the town. Feel free to pop in for advice, cosy homewares or just a chat.
- Maintenance – Need your chimney swept, firewood, firelighters or an annual service? Just ask.
- Firewood – Not only do we supply kiln dried firewood in bulk and by the bag, natural firelighters and kindling, we offer a log storage scheme so you can benefit from bulk savings even if you don’t have the space at home.
